I've been finishing my basement also (but I had to compromise...we split it between a gym and a bar/home theater).
Could you give more details on the bar construction?? Did you use standard cabinets? Did you build it from scratch? Veneer, solid wood??
I was thinking going plain granite, but I like how your picture look.

The bar is completely custom built. Cabinets are 3/4" furniture grade plywood with solid cherry doors and accompaniments. The bar top is plywood with a solid cherry Chicago style bar rail.
Did you have to do anything special to vent the projector in that box?
